The most prominent and from far away visible landmark of Mikulov is the Renaissance castle adapted in the Baroque style. The historic center of the town consists of beautiful Renaissance and Baroque citizen's houses. The town square is graced with the Baroque Column of the Holy Trinity. The Piarist Monastery with the Church of St. John the Baptist is the oldest in Bohemia (was founded in 1631). The late Gothic Parish Church of St. Wenceslas was built over foundations of a former Romanesque church. There is the Tomb of House Dietrichstein built in 1844 in the place of the former Loretta Church destroyed by fire. The synagogue and the medieval Jewish cemetery mark the place, where local Jewish ghetto used to stay.
Village preserve of rustic wine-growing architecture, with baroque wine cellars.
