The cemetery was founded in 1852. Behind the Neo-Romanesque ceremonial hall from 1900 we find the cemetery with some 9 000 tombstones.
The ghetto consisting of two small squares and several streets is documented in the 16th century. The synagogue probably resulted from a reconstruction of an older one in the 17th century. It was adapted in the 18th century and contains valuable Hebrew wall inscriptions in the interior. From 1988 till 2004 it was completely restored and now serves for cultural and social purposes.
The cemetery was founded after 1680; the oldest tombstone is from 1688. There are valuable Baroque and Classicist tombstones.
Only 34 of the houses are standing from the original 82 houses in U Synagogy St., U škrobárny St. and Skalní St. The row of houses have a baroque core, however many of them have already been reconstructed as a result of numerous fires and due to the construction of the bus terminal in later times. The most noteworthy of the preserved buildings are the former schoolhouse no. 581 in U Synagogy St. and the portal with a viticulture motif on building no. 577 in Skalní St.
A cemetery of unknown age with tombstones from the beginning of the 17th century.
