The cornerstone of the Convent of Immaculate Conception of sisters of St. Clara Order was laid only recently - in 1995. Its rather large grounds are situated in the outskirts of the Soběšice urban district.
Romanesque church of St. Peter and Paul from the second half of the 12th century. It has a central layout with apses added to three sides. A prismatic tower was adjacent to the central area, which was removed at the end of the 15th century with the addition of the nave. In the nearest analogy it is referred to as All Saints Chapel in German Řezně (Regensburg).
A Gothic temple of SS. Peter and Paul built in the 14th century in place of a former Romanesque castle and church. After Baroque adaptations in the 18th century, steeples were added to the temple in the 20th century and it acquired its current Neo-Gothic appearance..
A simple early baroque building with a rectangular layout and right-angle presbytery. Following the middle of the 18th century it was reconstructed in the baroque style according to the plans of František Antonín Grimm. At that time, two chapels (St. František and St. Fidel) were added to the left side of the single-arcade church. With reference to František Baron of Trencka, the so-called Trenckovo wing was built in which the valuable Capuchin library is situated with preserved original rococo fixtures and ceiling frescoes by Josef Stern.
The Pilgrimage Church of the Virgin Mary Annunciation came into existence in 1804-6 by extension of the original chapel. A remarkable woodcarving of Madonna from the turn of the 14th and 15th century can be found on the main altar.
Classical church by the architect Ferdinand Hetzendorf. This massive single-arcade building, decorated by stained-glass windows along the sides forms a unified block with a parish, which directly connects to the church tower in two wings.
Porta Coeli - The Gate of Heavens in Předklášteří u Tišnova - was founded by Queen Constance as a Cistercian Convent in 1233. The convent was razed several times and even closed down during the centuries, but restored each time. The large complex is dominated by the Romanesque-Gothic Church of the Virgin Mary Assumption. Its jewel - unique to Central Europe - is an inwrought Gothic portal.
It belongs among the oldest monasteries in Moravia. The original provost of the Břevnov Benedictines established in the middle of the 11th century, rebuilt into a baroque monastery with the Church of St. Peter and Paul. It served as a cultural and educational centre. Its renowned library contains more than 60 000 books and rare first copies.
Shortly after its founding in 1181, the convent became a seat the Premonstratensians. It was burned down during the Hussite wars, and although restored, it ceased to exist in the following century. The Premonstratensians of Strahov were willing to restore it, but left it to its fate after the fire in 1703. However, even the current ruins - especially the roofless torso of the main aisle of the church - have a certain appeal and the extant parts have significant architectural value.
